INISTIOGE
Inistioge is arguably the most beautiful and historic village on the river Nore and we are proud to have it as our language and activity basecamp. There is a strong community spirit in Inistioge, which makes it an ideal location for our language students to mix with local people in a safe & relaxed envirnoment. The area is full of beauty & character. This charming village known as the “jewel of the South East” has been the setting for no less that four successful films, – one reason why
it is sometimes referred to as Ireland’s answer to Hollywood. Nestling in the Nore Valley it offers some of the best scenery in the region, particularly in the recently restored gardens of the Woodstock estate whose woods and pathways sweep down to the waters edge from the slopes of Mount Alto. Its special character has made it one of the most visited places in the South East of Ireland & an ideal location for students to experience the best of Ireland.
